The JC 42 Screening Committee is made up of political coordinators from affiliate Locals. Candidates for federal, state, and local office meet with the committee for an interview — ensuring every endorsement reflects the values and priorities of our members.
How Endorsements Are Recommended
Following candidate interviews, the committee reviews each race and recommends endorsements based on the interview process and the deliberations that occur after all candidates for an office have been screened.
Endorsement recommendations are then forwarded to the Joint Council 42 Executive Board for final approval. Endorsed candidates receive the full support of JC 42 and its affiliated Local Unions in their campaigns.
