Pay It  Forward

The premise of the novel Pay it Forward is one that any person can implement in his or her own life, at any time...

They might be retired from work but that doesn't mean they're retired from life. Teamster Retirees are Our Teachers.

Southern California Teamster Retiree Association

It pays to be a member of the Teamster Retirees! All Retirees who retired prior to January 1, 1985 will receive a 13th check in the amount of $1,100.00 and their eligible survivors will receive a check for $550.00.

Because of the efforts of the Teamster Retirees Association, these increased benefits as well as others are available to retired Teamster members. This is only one reason that you should join and support the Retirees. In addition to their continuing efforts to improve benefits such as the Disability Pension, which was improved in November 1999 by 23%, they are committed to fight for all issues that affect Retirees and their families.

The Association of Teamster Retirees is organized to advance and promote all Retiree and Senior issues including protecting Social Security, Medicare, Driving Privileges, Supplemental Insurance, Health Care Access, Prescription Drugs, Long-Term Care and fighting all attempts to take away Cost-of-Living Protection under Social Security.

Teamster Retirees have made a real difference on all of these items. On the lighter side, they also have some great social events including a Christmas Party, Bingo, trips to Laughlin and other points of interest. Meetings are held monthly in Long Beach, El Monte, Orange, Bloomington, Montebello and Santa Maria.
