Union Dues
Quarterly dues payments are due in January, April, July & October; late fees are assessed if dues are not paid in these months. If your dues are automatically deducted by the company, verify your deductions on your paycheck stub. If your company does not deduct for delinquent dues, you are responsible to personally pay the dues in a timely manner.
Important: If your dues aren’t received at the Union hall by the last business day of each quarter, you’ll owe a reinstatement fee plus all back dues. Dues received after the last day of the quarter, regardless of the postmark date, are considered late! Call John at the Union hall with your dues questions at (213) 388-3144.
If you leave the industry or shop for any reason, other than paid time off, you are eligible for a withdrawal card upon written request, provided all dues and financial obligations are paid; including dues for the month the withdrawal card is issued. Please be reminded that it is your responsibility to request a withdrawal card! Without a proper withdrawal, all dues will be due and payable to the local.
